should there be a Legend of Zelda movie?

Hero of Time wasn't a prank. That was an actual fan-made movie that for a time was supported by Nintendo and was aired for a few days in a Florida movie theater. Eventually after a few months of it being on the internet it was s*Navi*t down by Nintendo. Ask FDL about it, he saw it before it was shut down.

So did I. It was hilariously terrible! XD

If they're going to make a movie for any Zelda game it has to be for Twilight Princess

I want a better, professional movie, for Ocarina of Time.

If you were to ask this newcomer to the site, I'll say that it's an idea worth pursuing... however we got some problems on the fans' hands. Really it will be a good idea to try to adapt any of the Zelda games into a movie, but the problem is figuring out which parts to cut out, which parts to shorten or lengthen, figure out how to work with the numerous characters, including our grunting hero, and how to actually approach the movie.

To be fair this is something us fans should make because we don't want to end up with another movie like That-Movie-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named or anything made by Uwe Boll. Really getting a video game movie to work is with the right mixture of fan interaction and expert cooperation on making this a great movie project. Not only does a director matter, but everything else in all three production stages need to match either 100% identically or nearly perfectly with the games. Achieving the success of something like Orcania of Time is quite a feat, but with the right team on board it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. Heck, I wouldn't mind watching a Japanese version of the movie, since they tend to have better odds when it comes to adapting [insert non-movie medium] into a live-action or animated movie.

But if we are talking about hosting an American made movie, then here's my opinion about who should direct:

Peter Jackson - Twilight Princess
Tim Burton / Henry Selick - Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass and/or Spirit Tracks
James Cameron - Orcania of Time

I agree with those, I think Tim Burton would do a fantastic job at creating Hyrule. My problem remains in the acting, I'm afraid that no actor will be able to capture the essence of Link. But hey, it could still happen.

In my opinion, sure why not.
I just hope Hollywood doesn't buy the rights and ruin it.

I thought that was Hero of Time.

Kind of scummy for Nintendo to sue them like that after giving them permission in the first place...
